01Does consuming KalTame increase weight?
KalTame contains Sucralose, which is a zero calorie sugar substitute. It provides no calories when consumed. Sucralose is not recognized as a carbohydrate in our body and therefore it is eliminated from the body without any metabolism. Thus it does not affect body weight at all. On the contrary it helps reduce weight, since lot of good recipes can be prepared by replacing sugar (high calorie food ingredient) with KalTame.
 
02Who should use KalTame?
KalTame can be used by anyone including children. Yes, sucralose in KalTame is safer for children as compared to other sweetener molecules. People who intend to lose/ control weight and people suffering from diabetes should use KalTame.
 
03Can KalTame be cooked/ baked along with the food it is used in?
Yes, KalTame is easily cooked or baked. Sucralose in KalTame is heat resistant even at high temperatures. This makes KalTame suitable for preparing n number of recipes that require cooking and baking.
 
04How much KalTame should be used to get the same sweetness of sugar?
KalTame comes in three different forms, powder, pellets and sachets.
- 1 teaspoon of KalTame powder equals to one teaspoon of sugar
- 1 pellet of KalTame equals to one teaspoon of sugar
- 1 sachet (1gm of KalTame) equals to 2 teaspoon of sugar
 
05What recipes can be prepared from KalTame?
A variety of recipes can be prepared using KalTame. Recipes such as, baked stuffs like cakes, pastries, beverages like milk shakes, juices, tea, coffee, desserts like ice creams, chocolates, steamed recipes like pudding, sweets like halwa, custard, kheer, barfi and many more.
 
06Is KalTame safe for PKU (Phenylketonuric) patients?
Phenylketonuric people lack the enzyme to convert phenylalanine to tyrosine. Sucralose does not contain phenylalanine, thus it can be safely used by population with Phenylketonuric.
